Before becoming a chuck wagon cook, Kenny was a farmer, carpenter, U.S. Army MP, deputy sheriff, county emergency management director and wayne wright.

Based out of Oregon, MO, Kenny is semi-retired and doing the things he loves to do, which is building and restoring horse drawn vehicles and chuck wagon cooking with his original chuck wagon.

Kenny has cooked in seven states for cowboy gatherings, cattle drives, roundups, historical events, trail rides and private gatherings.

He also enjoys setin’ around the campfire with his guitar and singing cowboy songs with friends and acquaintances.

The Rafter G chuck wagon was named after Kenny’s brand.

Kenny bought his first old high wooden wheel wagon when he was 17. He started putting his chuck wagon together in 1977. He and his brother pulled it in many parades with their team of horses and would set it up in the yard for family cookouts.

Kenny also belongs to a re-enactor group, the Rush Bottom Land & Cattle Co. Re-enactors. He is a member of the Missouri Cowboy Poets Assn. and two entertainment promotion organizations – Evening in The West and
